The final round is going to be held in Buon Me Thuot city in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak from June 1 to June 5, with eight teams representing eight secondary schools in Vietnam. This is the second time Yamaha has joined hands with Tien Phong Youth newspaper and 24h Sports JSC to organise the final round.
The football tournament aims to give children who love football a chance to compete for a prize, nourish their love for the sports, and discover potential candidates for the national team. 96 teams from six cities and provinces have been competing since end-March of this year so that eight teams can be chosen for the final round.
Besides matches, the children who join the final round will also meet and talk to football celebrities and join in activities to learn about traffic safety.
Last year, the winners of the festival enjoyed an exchange tour to Japan, where they took part in friendly matches against Japanese teams. The festival created a professional playing field for young players to learn about fair-play and respect. Parents reported that the children grew a lot from the festival in terms of self discipline and time management.
