Vietnam wins bronze medal at WorldSkills 2017

Vietnamese contestant Nguyen Ba Thuoc has won a bronze medal in the information technology software solutions for business category at the 44th WorldSkills Competition in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.

Meanwhile, certificates in achieving excellence in five vocational skills were presented to Nguyen Van Tuan in the category of CAD, Nguyen Tat Toai in Industrial Control, Tong Tho Hoa in Bricklaying, Chu Van Tuoi in Electrical Installations, and Vu Hoang Trinh in Cooking.

This year, Vietnam sent 13 contestants to compete at 12 out of total 49 main skills and two performance skills. The competition took place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on October 8-20 involving 1,250 contestants from 58 countries and territories.

At the WorldSkills 2015 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Nguyen Duy Thanh won a bronze medal in the information technology software solutions for business category, the highest achievement since Vietnam joined the competition.
