State-owned corporation Vietnam Post has officially begun applying QR code payment through VNPAY-QR to optimise the payment process for customers while simultaneously mitigating cash-related risks by moving towards cashless payment across the country.

Cashless payment has become increasingly commonplace worldwide, especially during COVID-19 times. More and more businesses and organisations have deployed QR code payment due to its comfort and safety, contributing to protecting the community’s health.

Vietnam Post has recently teamed up with Vietnam Payment Solution JSC (VNPAY) – a top performer in e-payment in Vietnam – in the deployment of QR code payment with a view to pushing up non-cash payment in public services and facilitating more people to access state-of-the art payment technologies.

When using Vietnam Post services people will no longer need to have cash or bank cards on their person but can still make payments swiftly through VNPAY-QR.

Accordingly, customers can use the app for Vietnam Post’s wide-ranging services like postal delivery, newspapers & journal publishing, or when buying telecommunications cards, consumer goods and more at Vietnam Post’s transaction bureaus.

To make a payment, customers only need to log into their bank’s mobile applications or e-wallets allied with VNPAY, then scan VNPAY-QR code at transaction offices belonging to Vietnam Post.

For customers using cash on delivery (COD) and e-commerce delivery services, customers can do the same 2 simple steps to make the payment: log into Mobile Banking applications or e-wallets allied with VNPAY, then scan the VNPAY-QR code of the postal worker to make a payment.
