Vietnam-Hanoi Goods Week 2019 was held in South Korea by Lotte |
Lasting for five days between November 22 and 26, Vietnam-Hanoi Goods Week 2019 featured several conferences, talks, and meetings between South Korean industrial associations, promotion organisations, and enterprises and Vietnamese peers.
As many as 35 enterprises operating in the fields of tourism, farm produce, food and beverage, textile and garment, handicrafts, and cuisine, among others, from Hanoi joined Vietnam-Hanoi Goods Week 2019 in South Korea to promote trade and tourism co-operation.
Several conferences, talks, and meetings between South Korean industrial associations, promotion organisations, and enterprises as well as Vietnamese peers were held at Lotte World Tower Mall, Seoul.
The activities aimed to promote comprehensive co-operation in investment, trade, and tourism by presenting business opportunities in Vietnam and Hanoi which match the capabilities and experiences of South Korean investors.
Besides, the event also focused on boosting the investment and tourism promotion of Hanoi and Vietnam in South Korea, selling Vietnamese products to the Lotte distribution system, as well as disseminating Vietnamese cuisine, culture, and tourism to the people of South Korea.
Under the framework of the week, Vietnamese enterprises showcased processed food; fresh, dried, and canned fruits; gifts, apparels, condiments, tea, and coffee, among others. Besides, they had the opportunity to listen to advice from the South Korean side about the criteria and standards applied for Vietnamese goods when exporting to South Korea. Besides, it was a good occasion for local enterprises to learn about the business practices of their partners.
South Korean visitors had the chance to explore the traditional culture and tourism of Hanoi and Vietnam at the event.
Especially, director of Lotte Mart Sam Sil invited the Vietnamese delegation to join the Lotte Mart survey week to introduce products, the distribution process at the supermarket, customer trends, the evaluation process for competed products so that Vietnamese enterprises can build new business strategies to penetrate the South Korean market in general and Lotte’s system in particular.
Hanoi People’s Committee and Lotte Group signed an MoU to enhance investment in trade infrastructure and goods purchase.
Besides, leaders of Hanoi People’s Committee signed other MoUs with Daesang Industrial Corporation, Hoban Construction Co., Ltd., and Bookook Securities Co., Ltd. to study investment conditions for infrastructure projects, including hotels, offices, and commercial buildings, as well as smart buildings with the total investment capital of $1 billion.
After the week-long fair, the representative of the Vietnamese delegation joined a working session with Lotte affiliates, including Lotte Mart and Deahong Communication to review the fruits of the event.
