The Legends Tour international golf tournament will make its presence felt in Vietnam for the first time under the name Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam from November 26 to December 2.

Being more than simply a sporting event, this renowned golf competition also brings tremendous economic benefits in terms of tourism and trade partnerships between the United Kingdom and Vietnam, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Among the many high-quality golf courses in Vietnam, Vinpearl Resort Nha Trang was selected to become another exceptional destination on the Legends Tour schedule.

While spreading a positive image of Vietnam, the annual golf tournament is also expected to elevate the country’s golf tourism.

Speaking at a press conference on September 15, Nguyen Trung Khanh, director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, asserted that golf tourism is gradually becoming a trend in Vietnam.

"Aside from traditional tourist groups from Western Europe, tourists coming from northeast Asia, including China, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, as well as other countries and territories in the region, have the tendency to visit Vietnam to experience golf services," Khanh stated. “Moreover, golf has become a plus point when choosing a destination, and Vietnam possesses proven advantages in terms of terrain, geography, natural resources, and people to create unique and attractive golf courses for international tourists,” he continued.

After finishing its journey in Vietnam, Mauritius is next on the schedule, hosting the MCB tour championship final. The winner of the Legends Tour 2023 Order of Merit will be crowned in this beautiful island nation.

With the presence of 60 legends who have conquered numerous prestigious championships, such as Michael Campbell, US Open 2005 champion and 8-time European Tour champion, Ian Woosnam, 1991 Masters champion and 2006 Ryder Cup captain, and Paul McGinley, 2004 Ryder Cup captain and owner of four European Tour trophies, the upcoming competition is an event that no one wants to miss.
