Hoiana Open Golf Tour 2024 raises $50,000 for poor, disabled children |
The golf tournament took place at the Hoiana Shores Golf Club (HSGC), a world-class golf course at Hoiana Resort & Golf.
The funds will be distributed to the Quang Nam Charity Association, the VinaCapital Foundation (VCF), and the Kianh Foundation to conduct community programmes to improve the quality of education, healthcare, and life for poor children and those living with disabilities in Quang Nam.

The tournament drew over 100 international and domestic golfers from various skill levels.
The event also left a remarkable impression with the surprise attendance of Sir Nick Faldo, the legendary British golfer.
Beyond being a fair play competition for golf enthusiasts, the tournament champions a noble cause. Hoiana and VinaCapital Foundation have coordinated more than 10 Corporate Social Responsibility activities and initiatives, with a total value exceeding $333,333.
"This is an annual charity golf tournament hosted by Hoiana Shores Golf Club to support the less fortunate. We aspire for our upcoming tournaments to grow in scale to contribute to amplifying the spirit of giving and creating meaningful changes within the community," said Steven Wolstenholme, president and CEO of Hoiana Resort.

Since 2016, charity activities conducted by HSGC have collected nearly $208,300, constituting 20 per cent of the total community contribution from Hoiana Cares, the resort’s corporate social responsibility programmes.
Notably, Hoiana Open Cup 2022 raised $9,580 to aid impoverished children in Danang and Quang Nam.
Similarly, the charity golf tournament "Greenkeepers' Revenge," held in September 2023, involved golf-related experts from central Vietnam and raised over $5,416 to support Duy Hai Kindergarten and Duy Hai Primary School to improve their facilities and support unprivileged students.
