The site also known as ‘Dalat of the east’ was established in the early 20th century by French colonialists to create rubber plantations and resorts thanks to its temperate climate and ideal location near spectacular basalt hills and mountains. Tourists should take Highway 1A to get to the site which is 80km from HCMC in an easterly direction.

Tourists can find numerous grassy hills and pure streams under the shade of bamboo trees. There are also many ancient French-style villas on these hills surrounded by  poplars and ancient trees that are perfect sites for tourists to pose for photos.

The central area of the tourist site has a large lake, swimming pool, restaurant, discotheque, tennis court and other entertainment activities.

In the 1930s, the owners of Michelin factory built this block of houses for the leisure of the French and their families who were owners of rubber plantations. Most of these houses are now left deserted. Walking inside, tourists can imagine the luxurious lifestyle of the owners who had a dance fl oor, bar, bath tubs and wardrode rooms.
