This was one among several activities organised at the school’s programme named “Island and sea sovereignty with peace” held this morning.

Teachers and students voiced their sentiments with slogans such as “Hoang Sa and Truong Sa belong Vietnam” and “We love peace”. They also sang patriotic songs and donated money to the soldiers who protect Vietnamese waters.

Meanwhile, on May 13, 450 students at Tri Duc Nursery and Primary School in Danang City joined with teachers to form the shape of Vietnam in a similar event.

They also attended a special class named “Toward the East Sea” which provided students information about Vietnamese sovereignty as well as updates on the tense situation on the East Sea, informing them of incidents of Vietnamese ships being attacked by Chinese vessels.

After the classes, many students voiced their opposition to the Chinese violations.

The school teachers and students contributed a total VND15 million (USD714.2) to the Vietnamese coast guard and fisherman.
