Schneider Electric and FPT will co-develop EcoStruxure |
In order to maximise profits and enhance competitiveness, enterprises must accelerate their digital transformation, apply new technology to reduce costs, and accumulate resources. Nowadays, the rapid development of 4.0 technologies has set a foundation for constant emergence of smart solutions.
Nonetheless, there are still many Vietnamese enterprises that have not gotten used to this concept, and still have not caught up with the common trend of the era. By understanding that, Schneider Electric and FPT signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop and implement EcoStruxure – an Internet of Things technology platform from Schneider Electric, which helps boost and satisfy the digital transformation demand of all organisations and individuals in Industry 4.0.
Digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into every sector of an enterprise. It therefore changes the way an enterprise operates and brings more values to customers. This is a process and not a destination, and requires vigorous effort of enterprises if they do not want to lose their name in this increasingly fierce market.
Although Vietnamese enterprises have clearly defined the demands and urgency of digital transformation, they are still facing certain difficulties such as lacking of human resources and lacking of general integrated architecture. It is now high time that Vietnamese enterprises garnered support in terms of technology and human resources from pioneering companies in digitalisation and automation. The partnership between FPT and Schneider Electric in developing and implementing the EcoStruxure technological platform has shown great understanding and timely support to Vietnamese enterprises.
EcoStruxure is an open and highly-interactive technological platform which helps connect devices, support users, manage and operate systems effectively, and in a cost-efficient manner for sustainable development. With the difference and distinct features in the business model in Vietnaml, the partnership between Schneider Electric and FPT shows positive signals which plays a impulsive role in boosting the digital transformation of Vietnamese enterprises, making the process powerful and more effective.
Specifically, the EcoStruxure platform will be enhanced in terms of software maintenance, APIs, cloud solutions, assisting organisations to maximise energy management, and boosting operations and automation in the development procedure. EcoStruxure is an integrated architecture which, at the same time, solves the problem of data collection and information management, which is the key of Industry 4.0. Along with co-operation and development, FPT will assist Schneider Electric Vietnam to develop EcoStruxure resources with a target of 200 consultants certificated by 2020. FPT is also applying the EcoStruxure platform to manage and monitor the entire electricity system of the office complex F-Town 3, located at High-Tech Park in District 9 of Ho Chi Minh City. With a total value of up to $1 million, this architecture is the first smart building in Vietnam.
The final goal of this partnership is to support digital transformation, helping Vietnamese companies grasp and utilise opportunities to reach a rapid breakthrough in the digital era without being left behind.
Luc Remont, executive vice president of Schneider Electric Group said, “EcoStruxure has brought benefits not only for Schneider Electric but also for its partners around the world, including FPT in Vietnam. We believe the solution will provide tremendous growth in technology and the economy for Vietnamese enterprises in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
