Royal City, situated on Nguyen Trai street in Hanoi, snatched awards in the Vietnam category for best retail development for its Vincom Mega Mall Royal City and highly recommended for mixed-use development.

The Asia Pacific Awards is part of the International Property Awards which recognise real estate projects that meet strict criteria on location, transportation, architecture, planning and uniqueness.

Award-winning projects should meet criteria for safety, security, sustainability, and innovative technology, as well as environmental protection and service provision.

Before receiving the awards, nominees were appraised by a panel of judges of more than 100 experts in real estate from around the world.

Vincom Mega Mall Royal City is the largest underground trading and entertainment centre in Asia, with unique facilities such as an indoor waterpark and ice rink. One outstanding feature is the mixed-use model which combines entertainment and shopping, all under one roof.

According to the organisers, nearly 1,000 nominations from 29 countries in the region were submitted this year. Participants came from different real estate sectors such as architecture, development, design, consultancy and interior.

The awards are expected to further enhance Vingroup’s position in Vietnam and the region. Last year, the Vingroup’s Vinhomes Riverside development won the best mixed-use development and represented Asia in the worldwide category for mixed-use developments.
