Japan Desk Thanh Hoa will implement an investment promotion programme towards the end of this year |
The event is expected to be organised by the end of this year, which is Japan Desk Thanh Hoa’s initial effort to become a close bridge between Japanese investors and the province. The Desk is completing the list of enterprises joining the event.
The Desk was officially established in July. In late October, it organised the first conference to connect and support Japanese enterprises, which saw the participation of representatives from Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plan, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC, Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd., and Nomura Thanh Hoa garment Co., Ltd.
Hoang Si Tuan, deputy director of Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Agency and head of Japan Desk Thanh Hoa said, “The Desk will co-operate with the Embassy, the Foreign Investment Agency (FIA) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment and international organisations such as JETRO, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) to promote the province's potential and support enterprises to deal with difficulties during the investment and operation process.”
“In next year, the desk will realise the MoU signed by Thanh Hoa People’s Committee, JETRO, and the FIA in December 2020 to introduce Japanese companies to invest in the province,” he said.
In the long term, the desk will be proactive in approaching investors having potential in finance and technology to attract investment and receive technology transfer.
The desk also has a website in Japanese, which updates information and data about the investment attraction policy, investment and business environment. Besides, it recruits employees who can speak Japanese and invites native experts for online and offline consultancy work.
