Heart creening tests for 500 children in Lam Dong

The Ho Chi Minh City Paediatrics Hospital sent a medical team led by Deputy Director of the hospital, Doctor Truong Quang Dinh to Lam Dong province on May 18th to provide free screening tests for 500 poor local children with innate heart diseases and defects.

The event lies within the framework of the programme “Hearts for children” sponsored by Viettel in coordination with Vietnam Television.

According to Deputy Director of the Viettel branch in Lam Dong, among the 500 patient children, 400 children had innate heart diseases and 100 had heart mobile defects.

He also said that children with serious diseases would receive free operations sponsored by Viettel.

Chairman of the Poor Patient, Disabled and Orphan Support Association of Lam Dong province highly appreciated the programme in saying that the support from Viettle and doctors would provide great opportunities for poor children to have better lives.

OPn the occasion, Vietnam Airlines, Sai Gon Trading Corporation and “Common Heat” charitable organization in Ho Chi Minh City presented 500 gifts worth VND 200,000 each to local children with heart diseases.
