Hanoi revokes 16 delayed projects for violating land law

Hanoi’s Department of Construction has announced a list of 16 projects which have violated the Land Law due to excessive delays.

The projects include an office, restaurant and entertainment complex at 153 Yen Phu Street, Tay Ho District of the Hanoi Tourism Corporation, an office building for rent at 53E Hang Bai Street, Hoan Kiem District of One Member Lottery Co.,Ltd, and Quang Trung General Hospital on Tam Trinh Street in Hoang Mai District of the Quang Trung General Hospital Joint Stock Company.

A project of offices for lease at 19 Le Thanh Nghi Street in Hai Ba Trung District of Ba Dinh Investment, Construction and Development JSC, and a commercial centre at Nga Tu So Market in Dong Da District of Vietnam Asset Trading and Investment JSC were included in the list.

The 16 projects have been long delayed, and the land marked for construction has been abandoned.

The department will work with the people’s committees of various districts to re-examine and report to city authorities any revoked projects in the future.

The department also announced eight projects which have been granted investment certificates. The projects included a parking lot in Hoang Mai District and Thanh Tri District, Saigon-Hanoi Hi-Tech Eye Hospital, Dong Tau urban pre-school, Bac Co Nhue Elementary School, Thien Duc Vocational School, Tran Quang Khai Private High School and Nguyen Tat Thanh High School.
