Dragon Land Company has lifted the curtain on a $1 billion new township for Ho Chi Minh City. Dragon City is being developed in Saigon South with luxurious condominiums, villas, offices, shops and schools catering to more than 20,000 residents.
The development will offer customers star-quality facilities |
The self-contained development covers 65 hectares fronting Nguyen Huu Tho street on the city’s north-south axis.
The location is a highly-desirable address five kilometres from the city centre and adjacent to Phu My Hung urban area, a 36-hole golf course and a handful of educational institutions such as RMIT University, the Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese and Saigon South schools as well as healthcare and commercial facilities such as FV Hospital, Coop Mart and Citimart supermarkets.
The city will be developed in phases with the first one being built with a high-end condominium complex, two luxurious villa compounds and an office tower.
Dragon Land will team up with high-profile developer Hoang Anh Housing Development Company to build a condominium complex on a 6ha site within the city.
All of Dragon City’s planning, construction, quality certification and property management services have been undertaken by prestigious foreign companies with an aim to build a modern and environmentally-friendly city.
“Dragon City will be a beautiful and elegant architectural complex built in harmony with nature that will set a benchmark in quality living,” said Phung Chu Cuong, deputy general director of Dragon Land.
Market observers said the supply of quality houses in the second city was falling short of demand and this was indicated in recent incidents when buyers scrambled for the right to purchase The Vista and Sky Garden III apartments.
“Our development will cater to the rising demand for quality housing accommodation in Saigon South which is set to become the most dynamic urban area in Ho Chi Minh City,” said Cuong. The developers have yet to announce sales prices and when sales will start. Under the Real Estate Business and Housing laws, developers are allowed to sell houses when construction of the foundation of residential blocks is completed. Dragon Land has worked with Vietcombank, BIDV, PVFC and HDBank to finance the project and provide credits to prospective buyers.
Dragon Land’s founding fathers include Sovico Group and the country’s leading real estate development and construction corporations.
