Deputy PM visits AO victim families

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan on August 3 visited and presented gifts to families of victims of Agent Orange/dioxin in the northern mountainous province of Bac Giang .

The visit is part of activities nationwide to mark 52 years since the beginning of the spraying of Agent Orange/dioxin by the US Army in Vietnam (August 10, 1961-2013). 

Deputy PM Nhan asked local authorities to pay more attention to the victims and their families with both spiritual and material support. 

He also urged the Ministries of Health and Labour, War Invalids and Social Welfares to promptly perfect supporting policies for the victims.
