Several provinces in the north will start having rains on Saturday. Heavy rains and strong winds may batter provinces in the central part of the country.
The area of the Northern Gulf will have winds blowing from 39kph to 49kph early on Sunday and they will strengthen to 62kph to 74kph the following day.
The northern area of the East Vietnam Sea, including the Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago, will have rough seas and strong gusts.
Under the influence of a cold spell, the central province of Quang Ngai has had heavy rains with a common rainfall of 100mm to 150mm. Rainfall reached 203mm in Tra Bong and 205mm in Minh Long.
Central provinces from Ha Tinh to Phu Yen may have rains lasting from two to three consecutive days, with a rainfall of up to 200mm.
Flashfloods and landslides are forecast to hit the provinces as well, according to the weather forecast agency.
