City to build 28 anti-erosion embankments
The HCM City People’s Committee has approved construction of embankments at 28 outlying locations to prevent erosion of river and canal banks.

Three are in Nhà Bè District and the rest are in Cần Giờ.
In Nhà Bè, the embankments are urgently required at Trâm Bàu in Hiệp Phước Commune and along the Dơi Canal and the Giồng River in Long Thới Commune to prevent further erosion.
In Cần Giờ, seven embankments in An Thới Đông Commune will be built first with completed slated by 2018.
Relevant city agencies and the Cần Giờ People’s Committee will draft plans for building the remaining 18.
