UK company Brand Finance, which specialises in brand valuation and the valuation of intangible assets, on November 12 announced its cooperation with Vietnamese brand consultancy company Mibrand, officially setting foot in Vietnam.

Accordingly with the help of the Vietnamese partner, Brand Finance is going to provide solutions to Vietnamese companies to support them in the building of their brands.

Lai Tien Manh, general director of Mibrand, said the cooperation with Brand Finance is in Mibrand’s long-term strategy. “Managing the brand and developing it into a valuable intangible asset should be one of the most important goals of a company. We hope the brand is going to bring monetary value to the company and its shareholders,” he said.

The announcement was part of a conference held on the same day, in which Samir Dixit, managing director of Brand Finance Asia Pacific, talked to representatives of 50 well-known brands in Vietnam such as Vinamilk, MobiFone and FPT on the methodology that Brand Finance used to value brands around the world.

“Brand Finance’s valuation is an important tool to help company leaders make strategic decisions such as developing sub-brands and investing in public relations,” he said.

Earlier in mid-October Brand Finance published the valuation of the brands of 50 listed companies in Vietnam. Starting this year, Brand Finance is going to provide an annual report on the strength of Vietnamese brands.
