Their stories were shared by numerous CEOs at the 1,000 CEOs meeting organised by PDCA Training Consultant Co., Ltd. in collaboration with CEO K35 Group JSC in Hanoi on April 15.

Being organised for the second time, the 1,000 CEOs event continued to open opportunities to connect with partners in the same sector, as well as suppliers.

The trading environment has changed comprehensively, thus, enterprises also need to change, update the marketing strategy to suit with trend.

The highlight of this event was that CEOs had the opportunity to listen to Stefan Reicherstorfer, former chief of marketing officer (CMO) of Unilever Global and current CMO of Tan Hiep Phat Beverage Group, talked about building marketing strategy, particularly at SMEs. Especially, he shared the ten secrets for building a successful marketing strategy via analysising the advertisments of Dr Thanh herbal tea.

Accordingly, the ten secrets for building a successful marketing strategy include: having a deep understanding of the importance of marketing and the importance of building a strong brand, having deep understanding of customer demand as well as competition, determining a vision for the firm’s brand, determining the definition of the product as well as the proposition for the brand.

Besides, the firms have to determine the date to launch promotion programmes, communication plans, and then need to follow the performance of these programmes.

In addition, the firms have to be ready to overcome the challenges and never stop learning from partners and competitors.

“The trading environment has changed comprehensively, thus, enterprises also need to change and update their marketing strategies to suit the new trends,” said Reicherstorfer.

Bui Thi Lan, general director of Avatar Entertainment Co., Ltd., stated, "Joining the event helps me not only to expand relations but also opened opportunities to exchange and learn from the experiences of newly-established enterprises, especially startups."

Along with first-time attenders, many CEOs were returning guests to continue expanding their business networks.

According to Hoang Van Cong, director of Dang Phuc Health Service Co., Ltd., it is the second time that he has joined the 1,000 CEOs event. The purpose to join the event in Hanoi is to look for partners for Dang Phuc’s business sector namely beverage manufacturing.

"I expect that the tour to visit the Tan Hiep Phat Beverage Group’s manufacturing facility organised in the framework of the event will bring reality lesson for the firm’s beverage manufacturing sector," he said.

The 1,000 CEOs meeting is an annual event organised for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City in July 2017. At the first event, thousands of enterprises connected with each other and hundreds of contracts were signed with the total value of nearly VND1 trillion ($43.8 million).
