Vinfast is a potential customer. We contacted Vinfast and will try to become the lighting suppliers for both two-wheel and four-wheel models. Besides, we have new customers, namely SYM Sanyang Motor in Taiwan. |
The expansion is built upon the two-wheel lighting basis of Triom, a Varroc majority-owned Italian lighting company, and will help Varroc Lighting to serve the four-wheel lighting market.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Alessio Caputo, CEO of Triom Corporation, stated that the major reason for the expansion is to expand the firm’s distribution channels in key emerging markets. From the first and only customer, Piaggio in Vietnam, to date, the firm exports products to Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand, with the next target being Japan.
Besides, the new facility puts Varroc Lighting in a strong competitive position to support next and existing two-wheel and four-wheel customers in the ASEAN region.
“Vinfast is a potential customer. We contacted Vinfast and will try to become the lighting suppliers for both two-wheel and four-wheel models. Besides, we have new customers, namely SYM Sanyang Motor in Taiwan,” Caputo added.
The new facility will employ over 120 employees and has the opportunity for further expansion in the future.
