Manulife Vietnam supports Hanoi Run For Children 2014

The event was participated by nearly 500 agents and employees of Manulife Vietnam in Hanoi and the life insurer contributed VND160 million ($7,600) to assist underprivileged children with cancer and heart disease treatment at the National Hospital of Pediatrics, Hanoi Heart Hospital and in the Heartbeat Vietnam programme.

Hanoi Run for Children, formerly known as Terry Fox Run Hanoi, has been organising by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (CanCham), the Embassy of Canada to Vietnam in Hanoi, the Vietnam-Canada Friendship Association (VCFA), the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organisations (HAUFO). During the past 14 years, this fundraising running event has attracted contributions of thousands of Hanoians and organisations having business activities in Hanoi. The event is also recognised as a widespread team building activity and a great chance for businesses to showcase their corporate social responsibility. Last year, HRC attracted more than 5,000 participants and raised more than VND1 billion ($47,200) to assist underprivileged children.
