On the occasion of the New Year 2025, Britain's King Charles has approved the appointment of Warrick Cleine, chairman and CEO of KPMG in Vietnam and Cambodia, as an ordinary member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for Services to British trade and investment in Vietnam.

The Order of the British Empire recognises those who have made significant contributions to their field.

As the chairman of the British Corporate Advocacy Council, Cleine has played a pivotal role in strengthening diplomatic ties and enhancing trade and investment relations between Vietnam and the UK.

The MBE is a testament to Cleine's commitment and significant impact in fostering international relationships, particularly between the UK and Vietnam. His dedication to promoting sustainable development and economic growth has earned him respect and recognition within the business community and beyond.

“To be acknowledged by my peers for our collective efforts in such a vital area as trade and investment, while also strengthening international friendships between the UK, Vietnam, and Cambodia, is truly special, and I am deeply honoured,” Cleine expressed.

Highlighting the support from his team, he added, “In a rapidly evolving global economy, it is essential for leaders to demonstrate what it means to build bridges between nations and forge pathways for successful trade and investment. This recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of everyone in our organisation.”
