PM Dung highly spoke of the event given it aimed to prepare for the upcoming official visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Viet Nam.
He suggested the two sides review scopes of cooperation and talk specific ways to realize signed agreements especially the goals of US$4 billion in two-way trade in 2013 and the building of nuclear power plants in Ninh Thuan province.
In addition, the host leader recommended the two sides strengthen educational and training cooperation and Russia grant more scholarships for Vietnamese students and help build a Viet Nam-Russia university.
Mr. Dung hoped that the Russian Government would facilitate the negotiations with the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
For his part, Russian First Deputy PM Igor Shuvalov emphasized that the Russian Federation attaches extreme importance to the relations with Viet Nam in all fields.
He promised that the Russian Government would speed up the negotiations for the early signing of a free trade agreement between Viet Nam and the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
