VNR and CRG at the discussion |
At the invitation of VNR, a delegation of CRG visited Vietnam on May 24-25, 2019 to discuss future co-operation opportunities to cash in on growing trade demand.
At the discussion, Vu Anh Minh, VNR chairman, and his counterpart agreed to boost co-operation in railway transportation between the two countries by enhancing links between Vietnam-China trains and China-EU ones, upgrading railway infrastructure at borders between Vietnam and China and increasing the railway capacity.
The two leaders also agreed to study the application of new technologies and human resources training, exchange databases about international railway transportation, and boost co-operation in fast delivery at competitive charges and safety to increase competitiveness.
They also reached a consensus on creating favourable conditions for units of the two sides to expand operations in the international railway network and on building a mechanism to develop each other’s transport agents.
To this end, VNR and CRG signed a memorandum of understanding on future co-operation, expecting to open a new chapter in the two countries’ railway development with more business opportunities in the months to come.
