The Government chief took the occasion to brief the local businesses about Viet Nam’s recent developments, including a dynamic economy and active international integration process.
He said that Bulgaria is Viet Nam’s traditional partner with more than 4,000 Vietnamese experts having been trained in the European country.
Bulgarian investors have committed to pour around US$31 million in ten projects in such fields like manufacturing, information technology among other in Viet Nam, he said.
PM , however, pointed out that the two-way trade value remains modest, not on par with the long-lasting friendship and potentials of the two countries.
He urged Vietnamese businesses to intensify trade promotion in Bulgaria, especially key exports like farm produce, electronics, garment and textile and import mechanic equipment, foodstuff, and new medicine from Bulgaria.

Speaking at the event, Bulgarian Deputy PM Tomislav Donchev affirmed that Viet Nam is an important partner of Bulgaria.
He highly valued Viet Nam’s achievements in its renewal process, socioeconomic development and international integration.
Bulgaria supports the signing of a free trade agreement between Viet Nam and the European Union for the sake of both sides.
Mr. Tomislav Donchev suggested that Viet Nam should accelerate coffee, pepper and rice exports to his countries.
Both sides are beefing up their effort to promote the bilateral ties towards strategic partnership in which Viet Nam will play as a gateway for Bulgaria to step up cooperation with ASEAN and other countries in Asia-Pacific.
After the dialogue, representatives of the two countries’ businesses met directly to discuss cooperation in finance, banking, petroleum, garment, agriculture, food processing, infrastructure development, electronics, and manufacturing.
Earlier, PM Dung had separate meetings with Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev, Parliament Speaker Tsestka Tsacheva, and leaders of some local businesses.
