These figures were released by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) at a conference in Hanoi on July 6 to review the elections of the 13th National Assembly (NA) and People’s Councils at all levels, which took place on May 22.
Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Tran Huu Thang, said the elections were organised successfully and in line with the law, ensuring democracy and safety.
At the event, representatives of MoHA and relevant departments agreed that there should be a law on the people’s councils and NA elections for application in the next term.
The ministry also presented 50 certificates of merit to 50 units for their outstanding achievements in the election work.
