KPMG presenting its new LEAP programme in Ho Chi Minh City |
The programme, called LEAP (Leaping Enterprises Ahead Programme), targets small- and medium-sized enterprises and private business leaders in Vietnam who are looking to accelerate their growth through enterprise resource planning (ERP) transformation.
The programme leverages best practices in the industry to develop pre-built business and technology solutions, which are then embedded into the leading ERP solution provided by Microsoft, Oracle or SAP. KPMG LEAP also streamlined its implementation approach with standardised templates, test scripts, and more to shorten the implementation timeline. The cost of installation is $88,000.
According to KPMG, the LEAP programme strives to help SMEs and private businesses build a solid platform with the latest ERP solutions, from which they can transform their businesses. KPMG reckons that the investment point has been kept at a reasonable level for SMEs, who may struggle with large price quotes for ERP services.
SMEs in Hanoi joined the launching ceremony |
Will Nguyen, IT advisory partner at KPMG Vietnam, said that most SMEs started off by prioritising growth over operational excellence. However, as the business grows, profitability and long-term business viability come to the fore. This includes timely and accurate financial information; efficient and effective product development integrated with marketing and sales; or an optimised supply-chain—which are covered in the ERP system.
“An ERP system becomes essential if an SME wants to maintain its profitable growth trajectory. However, many times, firms say they cannot afford a pricey ERP, so the new offer by KPMG can help them with this issue,” said Nguyen.
