In Thanh Xuan district, Nhan Chinh Ward People’s Committee has just announced to have isolated several people who recently visited disease-stricken areas as a safety precaution but reported no signs of acute respiratory infection caused by the novel coronavirus (nCoV).
Most of the people in isolation are foreigners, including three people living in building N3B in Trung Hoa-Nhan Chinh, three others living in building 17T7 Trung Hoa-Nhan Chinh, three living in the Golden Palm building at 21 Le Van Luong Street, two in The Legend building at 109 Nguyen Tuan Street, three in Hanoi Center Point, two in the Diamond building, two in Comatce Tower, and five in Hapulico.
In Hadong district, Van Phuc Ward People’s Committee decided to isolate two residents at Goldsilk Complex, while the Phu Lam Ward People’s Committee isolated a Chinese citizen living at an affordable residential housing project.
In South Tu Liem district, there are a lot of foreigners living in the My Dinh area and the managing boards of buildings are constantly monitoring the health status of residents (especially foreigners) to prevent the nCoV from spreading. The boards also suggest residents wear masks in public. The Mipec Riverside building in Long Bien district went so far as placing a notice requesting residents and guests to refrain from talking or making phone calls in the elevator.
Other buildings like VOV Me Tri and Vinhomes Green Bay (South Tu Liem district) asked residents to wear facemasks or refrain from gathering in large groups, and the building management boards have carried out general cleaning and disinfection in public areas such as apartment halls, elevators, and corridors.
