The groundbreaking ceremony took place on October 10 at FPV’s Industrial Centre Yen My in Hung Yen province, following a strategic collaboration agreement signed earlier this year. The project aims to enhance Vietnam’s logistics capabilities through automation and green infrastructure, supporting the country’s growing e-commerce and supply chain sectors.

The groundbreaking follows the strategic collaboration signed between the two companies earlier this year, marking their shared commitment to advancing modern and sustainable logistics infrastructure in Vietnam.
"Frasers' proven track record in Vietnam has helped many multinationals establish and sustainably grow their manufacturing and supply chain footprint in the market," said Edwin Tan, deputy CEO, FPV and managing director, Industrial and Logistics (Southeast Asia).
"A built-to-suit project of this scale – SPX’s largest automated sorting centre in Southeast Asia – reflects our commitment to delivering best-in-class solutions that help our customers grow efficiently and seize new opportunities across the region," he added.
Quyen Tran, director of SPX Express Vietnam, spoke of how the Hung Yen sorting centre marks a significant milestone as SPX strengthens its presence in Vietnam.
"It reflects our commitment to building a faster, smarter, and more resilient logistics network that meets the evolving needs of consumers and businesses nationwide. With support from FPV, this new centre underscores our commitment to building a more connected and sustainable digital economy in Vietnam," Quyen reaffirmed.
Set for completion in late 2026 and scheduled to begin operations in 2027, the FPV-designed centre will feature a groundbreaking two-storey cross-dock logistics facility spanning 170,000 square metres – the first built-to-suit development of its kind in Vietnam.
Featuring 158 docks connected to over 700 sorting destinations, the innovative design enables fully independent traffic flows across two levels. This allows efficient simultaneous operations and reduces processing time.
Once operational, the centre will be able to process up to 7 million parcels daily, becoming SPX’s largest automated sorting centre in Southeast Asia.
Together with SPX’s extensive network of branches across 34 provinces and cities, along with 20 large-scale sorting centres with advanced automation, the new facility further underscores the company’s commitment to innovation, and to ensuring faster and more reliable delivery services across the region.
