Finecs opens new doors
Japan-based Finecs last week inaugurated its $13.5 million computer component plant in Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park 1.
The Binh Duong province plant, which commenced construction in December 2011, will manufacture precision mechanic products in the first phase. All the products will be exported to Japan to serve Finecs's production in Japan.
In a second phase of development, the plant will receive technology transfer from Finecs Japan and manufacture components of computers, mobile phones and digital electronics, with a projected capacity of five billion products per year.
In the first 10 months of 2012, Binh Duong province's foreign direct investment (FDI) reached $2.589 billion.
