Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh is leading a Vietnamese delegation to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2015 in Davos, Switzerland from January 21-24.

Deputy PM Minh will attend and deliver speeches at discussions about ASEAN, global food security, world situations, identifying demands and orientations and political prospects in 2015.

He will hold dialogues with executives of businesses joining the WEF and bilateral meetings with high-ranking officials from other nations and international organizations.

The event is expected to attract the participation of 2,500 delegates, including the German Chancellor, the Malaysian PM, the Indonesian President, the Cambodian PM, and the Presidents of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

With the theme “New Global Context”, the event will focus on discussing the new context of the world’s economy, global and regional political context, climate change, food security and other issues for businesses such as risks, connection and innovation.

Viet Nam and the WEF had have contact since 1989.

PM Nguyen Tan Dung attended the WEF Davos in 2007 and 2010.
