Making up nearly 50 per cent of the labour force and contributing about 30 per cent of Vietnam’s GDP each year, women are becoming an important driver of economic development. However, the startup stage is still heavily slanted towards men, with deep-rooted stereotypes and prejudices putting women in a disadvantage.
