Belgium expected to ratify VN-EU FTA soon

PM nguyen Tan Dung hoped that Belgium will soon ratify the Viet Nam-EU free trade agreement which is expected to be signed early next month.

The Government chief expressed his wish during his meeting with Belgian Senate Speaker Christine Defraigne in Ha Noi on Tuesday.

PM Dung also thanked the European country for approving the Viet Nam-EU Partnership and Cooperation Agreement inked in June 27, 2012 in Brussels.

He called upon the two sides to expand cooperation in various fields like economy, culture, science and technology, human resource training, health, and education, asking Belgium to further create favorable conditions for Vietnamese community to better integrate into the host country.

Senate Speaker Christine showed her pleasure at the fine development of the bilateral relations over the past time, particularly in trade and investment areas.

Belgium stands ready to accelerate cooperation in education and training and environmental protection, she said.
