LOS ANGELES: Two people were killed and two injured in a shooting on Tuesday at a hospital in Nevada, in which the gunman apparently took his own life, police said.
The incident occurred at a building connected to the Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, reports said.
"We have two people confirmed deceased in the building," said Reno Police Department deputy chief Tom Robinson.
"The shooter is one of the deceased," he said, adding that the fatal wound "appears to be self-inflicted."
He gave no other details.
The incident came days after the anniversary on Saturday of the Sandy Hook massacre which killed 26 people including 20 children in Newtown, Connecticut.
