On behalf of the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s (MPI) leaders, I would like to convey my best wishes to Vietnam Investment Review’s Editorial Board, editors, reporters and other staff members on the occasion of the 87th Anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalists’ Day.
After more than two decades walking instep with the country’s reforms and international integration, VIR has grown into a leading business publication, a trustworthy MPI press office and a prestigious forum for the business and investor community as well as state policy-makers. I am happy to see VIR’s print and online editions become increasingly far reaching and favoured among readers.
In the face of lingering economic vulnerabilities this year, VIR has proven proactive in disseminating the government’s key solutions to tame inflation, putting the macroeconomy on a stable footing, ensuring social well-being, removing businesses’ difficulties and propping up market development.
In doing so, VIR timely reflects difficulties and problems the business community is facing, from there providing useful inputs to policy-makers. Through delivering accurate information, VIR helps create a growing consensus in the society in enforcing the party and state’ policies and guidelines as well as executing the government’s management goals.
Alongside helping information reach the public in an effective manner, VIR has come up with diverse range of activities to support businesses and the society alike through hosting forums, investment and business workshops, rendering scholarships to needy brilliant students and so on.
I expect VIR’s Editorial Board, editors, reporters and other staff members to bring their achievements to a higher level still, promoting inner strength and constantly improving their professional and political background, paving the way for VIR to get to a new high not only at home but in the region.
On this occasion, I also convey my best regards to all people who are working in the Vietnamese press industry
Bui Quang Vinh Member of Vietnam Communist Party’s Central Committee, Minister of Planning and Investment
