The Nestlé MILO Cup is being organised by the Youth Vanguard and Children Newspaper and the Vietnam Football Federation and will feature the participation of 50 football teams. The teams will be divided into three groups: Bac Giang group, Quang Nam group, and Binh Duong group.
They will compete in a qualifying round from June 5-22, with the final round scheduled to take place from July 24 to August 6 in the northern province of Bac Ninh.
Nguyen Phan Khue, head of the Organising Committee and editor-in-chief of the Youth Vanguard and Children newspaper, said, "For the past 28 years, the National Youth Football Tournament has provided the scope to discover talented athletes who have the potential to eventually train and play for the national team."
According to Philomena Tan, MILO and dairy product business unit manager at Nestlé Vietnam, partnering with the National Youth Football Tournament has become a significant part of the 'Active Vietnam' initiative implemented by Nestlé MILO, providing an opportunity for the young generation of Vietnam to build strength of character through sports and physical activities.
"We are honoured to continue our partnership with this tournament as its main sponsor and remain committed to encouraging the younger generation to engage in sports for a healthier and more resilient generation of Vietnamese youth," said Tan.
In a collaboration between Nestlé MILO and the National Institute of Nutrition, a recent clinical trial lasting over three months showed that daily consumption of MILO, in combination with physical activity, helps children become more resilient.
National team player Do Duy Manh also inspired young players participating in the Nestlé MILO Cup, with his story of pursuing a passion for football and instilling hope for their future success.
"I believe that with determination and wholehearted effort in training, both physically and mentally, these young players will achieve their goals, develop themselves, and continue to contribute to the advancement of Vietnamese football on the international stage," said Manh.
