In its role as a sponsor, Nestlé MILO supports various areas, including a cash donation of over $41,000 and Nestlé MILO Barley Milk as a nutritional supplement, which will be handed directly to the Vietnamese sports delegation. This additional source of enduring energy will help athletes maximise their performance in competition.
Alongside that, the MILO endurance and luck medal will also serve as a source of spirit and encouragement, cheering on the Vietnamese sports delegation towards achieving the best results.
At the send-off ceremony, MILO was honoured to receive a commemorative medal from the Vietnam Olympic Committee for the contributions and support of the brand towards the Vietnamese sports delegation and the enduring journey alongside Vietnamese sports for nearly 30 years.
Dang Ha Viet, director of the Department of Sports and Physical Training and vice chairman of the Vietnam Olympic Committee stated, "MILO has not only accompanied sports and physical activities, especially school sports, for many years, but also supported generations of athletes from school-level movements to international competitions such as the SEA Games, ASIAD, and the Olympics. We are delighted to see the remarkable achievements of Vietnamese sports and take pride in having Nestlé as a companion on this journey of development.”
According to Le Bui Thi Mai Uyen, director of MILO and Dairy Products at Nestlé Vietnam, the company firmly believes that through proper nutrition combined with daily physical exercise, the younger generation can enhance their endurance towards success in life, especially in sports.
"We will continue to promote an active lifestyle, helping children nurture their passion and explore their athletic potential through annual school tournaments under the Active Vietnam programme. At the same time, we will work to build a more resilient younger generation of Vietnam, contributing to the development of sports in our country," she said.
The Olympic Paris will take place from July 26 to August 11, featuring 32 sports disciplines, while the Paralympic Paris will be held from August 28 to September 8, with 22 disciplines.
The Vietnamese sports delegation is expected to have 53 members participating, including 16 athletes in the Olympics and seven athletes in the Paralympics, along with 15 coaches, 15 experts, and various officials.
