The event was held on the 1st anniversary of SBT going live and operating the core digital system Oracle Cloud ERP from July 1, 2021.
SBT also went live and put into operation two more important systems, including the Planning Budgeting Cloud Service in May and Intelligent Reporting - Oracle Analytics Cloud in August.
The celebration event was attended by senior leaders of SBT, MsM, KPMG, and Oracle, along with leaders of domestic companies, enterprises, units, and members of the project Transform SBT. This was an opportunity for all parties to gather, reflect on the past journey, and honour the dedication and initial success of the digital transformation project in its first year – the Alpha year.

In her leading role, vice chairwoman of the Board of Directors of SBT Dang Huynh Uc My has always been consistent with the strategy of turning SBT into the region’s leading high-tech solution provider of traceable and sustainable agricultural products.
She emphasised that digital transformation is the key to helping SBT quickly grasp the opportunities of the new tech era and the ever-changing modern economic cycle. SBT crystallises natural values by modernising agricultural activities to complete value chains, optimising internal resources, and upgrading human resources with industry-leading knowledge to meet the market demand.
“SBT is currently completing four applications based on the Oracle Cloud ERP system related to eRetail, eFactories, and digital farming in raw-material-producing areas of Australia, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia," she said. "By 2030, SBT aims to become a high-tech global agricultural leader, preserving sustainable growth and sharing the benefits with stakeholders – of which farmers are the beneficiaries."
"The success of the project is an important springboard to help us realise our goal of becoming a pioneer in providing sustainable agricultural solutions not only in Vietnam but also in the international market,” My added.

Doan Vu Uyen Duyen, permanent deputy CEO of SBT, also shared SBT's breakthrough achievements over the past year in applying technology in all aspects of its operations. These included how upgrading end-to-end processes and unifying units on the same IFRS platform has produced optimal operations and flexibility in making business decisions, enabling SBT to enhance its global competitiveness.
She also highlighted the post-alpha year orientation with key projects and programmes to complete the digital ecosystem and train high-quality human resources for SBT.
Sharing more from KPMG, partner for technology consulting William Nguyen was extremely impressed that Transform SBT was one of the largest and most complex transformation projects, especially in the agricultural sector.
Despite facing numerous challenges, the project still achieved outstanding results under the leadership's commitment and the inner strength and determination of SBT from the very beginning of construction. The event also honoured the staff who have devoted themselves to the common goal of building the SBT Digital Ecosystem.
The initial achievements in the digital transformation journey on the Oracle Cloud ERP core system have created a strong foundation for SBT to continue to grow and thrive, notably the brilliant results of SBT’s 2021-2022 fiscal year with pre-tax profit exceeding $43.4 million, moving the company towards a comprehensive value chain and a sustainable competitive advantage in the new fiscal year.
SBT is gradually completing the ecosystem using an integrated intelligent technology platform including infrastructure and applications, incorporating chain data into operations and business orientation which aims at international standards and comprehensive transparency to serve the interests of all stakeholders.
The event ended with an intimate party for the attendees.
