Coffee giant Starbucks has announced it will open its first Hanoi location in the very near future.

On July 19 there will be a coffee culture event in Hanoi, where guests will be offered the chance to taste Starbucks’ best sellers. Starbucks Coffee Vietnam said of the event, “This is a chance for us to show our respect for coffee culture and present the innovative technology used in making Starbucks drinks.”

“The event is to prepare for the introduction of Starbucks to the Hanoi market,” said a source from the company.

Starbucks fans can have a chance to get a ticket to the event by visiting https://www.facebook.com/starbucksvietnam within the next two weeks.

Starbucks opened its first store in Ho Chi Minh City in February 2013 and its fourth in the city a year later.

Patricia Marques, general manager of Starbucks Coffee Vietnam, said the company planned hundreds of locations in Vietnam. Talking to a reporter from Baodautu.vn, she said Starbucks was confident in its ability to build and develop the Starbucks brand in Vietnam.
