Siemens cements its reputation

Siemens Vietnam and state-run Vietnam Industry Cement Corporation (VICEM) have just organised a workshop on “Siemens Innovative Solutions for Cement Industry Vietnam”. At this workshop, Siemens’ latest technologies for cement industry such as automation, energy saving, and drives were introduced to nearly 100 cement manufacturers.

The local cement manufacturers are experiencing a tough time in terms of remaining the production volume and competitiveness due to a sharp decrease in demand from the real-estate market, which is currently frozen, as well as the economic downturn. Minimising production costs and optimising the existing facilities have become vital for any cement manufacturers to survive.

 “As the global leader in automation and drive technology, Siemens has been delivering the best tailored products, solutions and services for cement industry that proactively and perfectly meet the crucial expectations and requirements of our customers. We have answers to all of your challenges,” said Siemens Vietnam’s president Erdal Elver.

The company’s Industry Section’s head Christian said the company had advanced solutions for the cement industry. For example, for large mechanical drives, there were dedicated products for cement plant such as FZG conveyor drive, rotary kiln drives, roller press drives, tube mill central drives duored, tube mill direct mesh girth drives DMGH, and vertical roller mill drive. For automation, Siemens offered a totally integrated automation from the field to the management level simatic PCS 7.
