Over 3,000 people join Champion Dash 2017 in Hanoi

Followed by its success in Ho Chi Minh City in April, Champion Dash 2017 came to the north, to be officially held in Ecopark Township in Hanoi on October 21 with the participation of more than 3,000 people.

The Hanoi-leg of Champion Dash 2017 was an overwhelming success

The race lured in both domestic and foreign competitors and seems popular not only among the young people but also featured participants above the age of 50, with 40 per cent of the participants being female.

Inspired by obstacle course races from around the word and designed by experts specialising in holding outdoors adventure sports events and terrain engineering, Champion Dash provided participants with a chance to physically and spiritually challenge themselves to overcome diverse trials throughout the race.

An outstanding feature of this year’s Champion Dash was that the ten best participants in the Pro Solo category were given the opportunity to join the Obstacle Course Racing World Championship 2018 organised in Canada.

At the race in Hanoi, numerous domestic participants achieved outstanding achievements, including Nguyen Chi Son, Nguyen Van Thi, and Hoang Huu and Pham Thi Quynh Trang, Nguyen Xuyen, and various foreign participants.

Especially, this year, the Future Champion was organised for the first time for dashers between 5-13 years of age, with an 800-metre race course and eight obstacles. All of the small dashers and their parents were really excited to try themselves and had a blast.

“Kids deserve to let loose, get dirty, and go a little crazy. Burning restless energies, exploring new exciting life experiences, and immersing themselves in a positive supportive community is what shapes life’s priceless moments and memories,” said Russel Johnson, representative of the board of organisation.
