Mastercard offers new range of benefits and experiences for affluent consumers in Vietnam

On May 16, Mastercard announced the enhanced World and World Elite card programmes, providing affluent consumers in Vietnam and other markets in Southeast Asia a range of rewards, lifestyle privileges, and experiences at home and abroad.

The card programmes also provide an additional security layer with Mastercard ID Theft ProtectionTM that allows cardholders to proactively monitor and be alerted to instances of identity fraud.

According to Mastercard’s inaugural experience survey conducted in 2021, the pandemic drove people to redefine their expectations, leading them to focus more on self-care, such as prioritising mental well-being (85 per cent), emotional well-being (83 per cent), and physical well-being (83 per cent) to help them feel uplifted and build better connections with others.

With people in Vietnam increasingly focusing on these factors, the enhanced Mastercard World and World Elite card programmes will provide consumers access to a range of experiences, benefits, and services across those focal points.

As consumers shop and spend digitally more than ever before, Mastercard has entered new partnerships to deliver offers with relevant merchants and categories. Cardholders can make the most of benefits like Centr: By Chris Hemsworth’s complimentary one-year membership for World and World Elite cardholders to meet wellness goals for the year.

The enhancements also provide eligible World Elite cardholders with complimentary unlimited Doctor Chat, Teleconsultation, and medicine delivery provided by Allianz and MyDoc.

World Elite cardholders will also enjoy complimentary green fees at up to 74 premium golf clubs worldwide and 50 per cent discounted green fees at 42 premium golf clubs in Asia for World cardholders.

Privileges for cardholders also include one complimentary main course when dining at Mastercard partner restaurants across Asia-Pacific within the One Dines Free programme.

As borders begin to reopen across Southeast Asia and consumers look for staycations or international trips, the World and World Elite card programmes provide airport lounge access, limousine services, and one-night free at participating properties, as well as curated travel offers with Agoda and Klook. Mastercard also offers an exclusive discount on Klook, upgraded from 9 to 12 per cent only within a limited period from now until the end of July.

“Today’s consumers perceive health and wellness through a much broader and more sophisticated lens that encompasses not just fitness and nutrition but also overall physical and mental wellbeing. Mastercard is pleased to offer a world of special privileges that will help cardholders enjoy more of what matters to them,” said Winnie Wong, country manager for Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos at Mastercard.
