During a working session yesterday, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Mai Tien Dung introduced the visitors to sectors with rich foreign investment potential, such as the support industry, high-tech industries and agricultural production. The locality will offer a favourable business climate to foreign investors to conduct business in the province in terms of human resources, infrastructure facilities, social order and other services, Dung said.

Head of the delegation, Nagakawa, spoke highly of the local investment climate, especially the implementation of 10 commitments to foreign investors.

He also highlighted the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two localities in 2013 as a solid foundation for Japanese firms to do business in Ha Nam.

The province is now home to 125 projects funded by investors from 10 countries and territories. They are worth a total of nearly $1.1 billion.

In 2014, Ha Nam granted licences to 32 FDI projects backed by $302 million in capital, making it one of the top 10 localities nationwide in attracting foreign investment.
