“I am very pleased and appreciate the efforts from the investor Maeda Thien Duc and all the staff who are contributing to a truly quality condo project – Waterina Suites. I have always kept track of the construction process and this is my third time in Vietnam to evaluate the progress and till now, from the overall design to the details in the lobby, utilities or apartments, everything perfectly matches my design,” Kuma shared.

Being the first brainchild in Vietnam of the renowned Japanese architect whose works are known for being serene and flexible in their use of natural materials, Waterina Suites is a great and stands out as a unique construct among the existing high-end condos in Ho Chi Minh City. Kuma’s project focuses on a natural, subtle, and elegant design inspired by the overlapping curves of the terraced fields of the Highlands of Vietnam, and the Saigon River wrapping around the city.

Waterina Suites stands 25-storeys high with a five-floor podium that comes complete with its very own car park, saltwater swimming pool, spa and business centre. Waterina Suites is set to become one of Ho Chi Minh City’s future landmarks with 98 luxurious suites composed of penthouse, duplex, and single floor units.

Before starting to design Waterina Suites, Kengo Kuma and his colleagues spent a long time in Vietnam surveying and studying the local topography, climate, lifestyle, and architecture.

“Waterina Suites is the only apartment building I have designed so far. I hope this project will be a hallmark in the good co-operation and investment relationship between Japanese investors and Vietnam," said Kuma.

Located just 10 minutes from Ho Chi Minh City's District 1, the project is rushing to finish on schedule and will be ready to welcome its first customers in the third quarter of 2019.
