Indian Ambassador Pranay Verma handed over $1 million for the Army Software Park |
This is the first tranche of the $5 million grant assistance provided by the Indian government to Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defence for the establishment of the Army Software Park at Telecommunication University in Nha Trang.
The agreement for the implementation of this project was concluded between the two sides on the sidelines of the virtual summit held on December 21, 2020 between the prime ministers of the two countries.
The new building of the Army Software Park was inaugurated on January 12 this year in Nha Trang. India’s grant assistance of $5 million shall be utilised for establishing the park’s IT infrastructure.
The Army Software Park is a symbol of the long-standing defence partnership between India and Vietnam and will play an important role in IT and language training for the defence forces of Vietnam.
At the event, Ambassador Pranay Verma affirmed India’s commitment to assist Vietnam in strengthening its IT and defence capacities. He added that this important project will contribute to the further deepening of the India-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
