As the event’s international ambassador Davids will meet the media at 5 pm before attending the national street football championship final on September 28 and the 2012 Tiger Street Football.
The former Dutch player said the tournaments provide good opportunity for those who show deep interest in this kind of sport to gather and exchange valuable experience.
Street football is popular with children around the world who dream of becoming professional players.
The national tournament involves 32 teams, from which four best ones will be selected to compete with six strong opponents from Brazil, Argentina, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Thailand in the 2012 Tiger Street Football for a total cash prize of VND1 billion.
Born in 1973, Davids started his career with Ajax Amsterdam in 1991. He also played for a number of famous clubs, namely AC Milan, Juventus FC, Barcelona FC, Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur.
From the World Cup 1998 in France he emerged as a leading midfielder.
