The RoK-invested Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Doosan Vina) will produce boilers for a thermal power plant in India under a $77 million contract signed recently

Doosan Visa General Director Ryu Hang-ha said on October 11 that the two boilers with a capacity of 800MW each will be installed at Kudgi power plant in India ’s southwestern region in 2014.

These will be the two biggest boilers to be produced ever in Vietnam, which also help affirm Doosan Vina’s position in designing and producing boilers for power plants in the world.

This also signals progress in the localisation of engineering mechanical products in Vietnam.

Earlier, Doosan Vina has provided two boilers for Mong Duong 2 thermal power plant in Quang Ninh province.

The company has exported made-in-Vietnam boilers to Brazil , Arab Saudi, India and Egypt.
