Big C paid part of CIT from transfer to Central Group

Companies managing supermarket chain Big C Vietnam have paid part of the tax arrears incurred by the transfer of ownership from Groupe Casino to Central Group, as reported by the Tuoi Tre newspaper.

Sources from the Ministry of Finance stated that the companies had declared VND2 trillion ($94 million) of tax incurred by the transfer, and have already paid VND380 billion ($17 million).

Earlier, the General Department of Taxation estimated this tax to fall around VND3.6 trillion ($161 million).
