State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc |
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Vietnam Investment Review with the first issue published (September 27, 1991 – September 27, 2021), I would like to extend my warm greeting and regards, and best congratulations to the editorial board, reporters, editors, contributors, and other employees of all generations of VIR.
Experiencing 30 years of construction and development, VIR has always been accompanying the country’s development and the doi moi cause by our Party and people. In each step and journey of the economy, VIR has closely followed the reality and actively communicated the guidelines and policies of the Party and the state, while timely and strongly featuring important economic and political events, and bilateral and multilateral cooperation activities, and contributing to actively promoting the image of Vietnam to international friends and investors.
VIR has connected, accompanied, and honoured Vietnamese enterprises. The annual investment-business forum organised by VIR has contributed to building up an open, transparent, and favourable investment climate, boosting the business spirit, encouraging the startup spirit, and creating a channel to connect the government and the business community, as well as the domestic and international investor community.
As a nation with an important strategic geographical location with great potential, our country is now embracing many new opportunities in the medium and long term, despite existing difficulties and major challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, the duty of the press is very heavy, but also very glorious.
I hope that VIR with its guidelines, goals, and missions will continue making relentless efforts in innovation, seeking out new development orientations, new content, and new working methods in order to contribute to creating consensus and confidence in society. From there, it can help active energy pervade among all people and enterprises, contributing to improving the business environment, sparking patriotism and a spirit of national solidarity, and together implementing the goal and aspiration for a powerful and prosperous Vietnam by 2045.
I believe that with its experience over the past 30 years, and with its heart, talent, and brainpower, VIR will offer more excellent articles carved out in the minds of readers and will reap bigger successes in the next development stage, continuing to accompany the national development, and contributing to enhancing the international status and image of Vietnam.
Wishing all of you good health, happiness, and success.
