Located in Hanoi’s Hoang Mai district, the 500 hectare Gamuda City including Yen So Park will take 10 years to complete with total investment capital of $3 billion.
The company had completed an international class thematic landscape garden at Yen So park, the project’s infrastructure system as well as the Yen So sewerage treatment plant, one of the largest modern waste water treatment plants in Vietnam.
The company stressed that related infrastructure and communal projects would be first completed to deliver on its commitment as a caring and responsible corporate citizen recognised by the prestigious Golden Dragon Award as the “Most innovative green township developer in Vietnam”.
Cheong Ho Kuan, director of Gamuda Vietnam, said the company had proved its long term commitment to deliver high quality projects in Vietnam over the last five challenging years.
“We strongly believed in the success of this mega investment project. Gamuda City project will transform the outlook of southern Hanoi in the very near future. This will eventually enrich the lives and elevates the living standards of the young and vibrant society in Hanoi,” Cheong said.
In preparation for the maiden launch of its residential precinct at Gamuda City which is expected to be implemented soon, Gamuda Land Vietnam has successfully completed substantial parcels of its land compensation exercise at Gamuda Gardens.
Gamuda Gardens consists of landed homes such as villas and townhouses, apartments with a mix of commercial facilities are the features of a sustainable and self-contained township.
More than 300 residential units were sold to the market in the phase one and all these lands have been compensated and cleared.
In line with the “forward planning” culture at Gamuda Land, the company has embarked on the implementation of the most advance and efficient method of land surcharge and piled raft foundation six months prior to the sale launch of Gamuda Gardens.
This technology has been successfully proved its effectiveness in many of Gamuda’s projects in Malaysia before, which will enhance the land quality with strong and solid foundation as well as shorten the duration of drilling and ground settlement.
The nature of land in the north of Vietnam is the alluvial soil accreted by Red River over hundreds of years.
It is critical for the soft texture land in Hanoi in general, and in Hoang Mai in particular to be treated with special method to guarantee the long-term existence of the houses. With this technology edge, the overall foundation work at Gamuda Gardens is completely ahead of schedule.
Different from other investors who have been developing real estate projects in Vietnam, Gamuda Land focuses not only develop projects, but all connected infrastructure systems.
Gamuda City is the first project in Vietnam to reserve 50 per cent of its land area for trees, garden and other environment protection facilities.
Prior to this, Gamuda Land Vietnam has completed the construction of one of the largest built-transfer” sewage treatment plant in Vietnam with a capacity of treating 200,000 cubic metres of waste water daily.
The plant is now ready for full operation and will soon be handed over to Hanoi People’s Committee.
Founded in 1995, Gamuda Land is the real estate arm of Gamuda Berhad, one of the leading infrastructure and real estate developers in Malaysia.
Gamuda Land’s construction has been expended in a total area of more than 2,480 hectares with total investment capital of more than $8.2 billion in Malaysia and Vietnam.
